Ash Wednesday
March 1, 7 pm Worship
Lenten Study Wednesday 7 pm
India/Pakistan Mission Study – In this study, participants will explore the political, religious and cultural history of these two countries. The Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church has committed to supporting the church in India/Pakistan. This study will help the congregation explore how to best do this. For information and to order books call the Fentons at 775-9103. (March 8- April 5)
Worship
The focus of worship will be the sacrament of Holy Communion. For the seven weeks leading up to Lent, ten people met to study the theology, significance and practice of Holy Communion in the United Methodist Church. During Lent, the congregation will move to a weekly celebration of the sacrament with reflections given by the study participants.
Devotion
Beginning February 26, a daily Lenten devotional will be available at the church. This devotional provides a daily devotion from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday. Please consider a $1 donation for this resource.
