History -- William A. Cull

Former Army Chaplin New Epworth Pastor

New Pastor of Epworth Methodist church, Berwyn and Kenmore, is the Rev. William a. Cull, formerly pastor of Community Methodist church of South Elgin. He starts his ministry at the North Side church Sunday Nov. 17.

The Rev. Mr. Cull was born in Springfield, Ill., and was graduated from Millikin university, Decatur. He was in the Army as an assistant chaplain, stationed in Japan, for two years, and on his return to the United States entered Garrett Theological seminary, from which he graduated in 1959.

He is a former pastor of Methodist churches in Carlinville, Sherman, and South Elgin, all in Illinois, and at one time was youth director at Edison Park Methodist church in Chicago.

In 1956 the Rev. Mr. Cull married Elizabeth Ann Clausen of Chicago. They have two daughters, Jennifer, 5, and Stacy Lyn, 1.
